Amaro Meletti - 70CL
The hilltop town of Ascoli Piceno stands as a UNESCO World Heritage site, clad in stunning travertine, the gem of Italy’s Marche region. And the jewels don’t stop there. Distilleria Meletti was founded here in 1870 by Silvio Meletti and famous for its flagship Anisetta Meletti, traditional amari, and regional cordials. Silvio built a custom bain-marie still method to create high-quality local distillates and by late 19th century Meletti was appointed as an official supplier to the Italian Royal Family (King Umberto I).in the late 19th century.
Nowadays operated by the fifth generation of the Meletti family, they are still tied to their historic roots and Caffè Meletti in the main piazza of Ascoli Piceno.
Amaro Meletti is one of our very favourite drinks at Artifex, giving top of the range lustrousness at an eminently affordable price. Probably Meletti don’t charge enough for this beauty, but please don’t tell them we said that!
Amaro Meletti is a balanced, bittersweet Italian herbal liqueur featuring rich amber hues, complex baking spices, and floral notes, bottled at 32% ABV in a 70 cl size.

Distilling Methods
Rather than standard boiling, flavours are extracted using a cold percolation method similar to a coffee maker, where alcohol and botanicals cycle continuously through an upper basket of ingredients until perfected.
