Faude Feine Green Walnut Liqueur is a complex botanical spirit featuring 34% ABV and packaged in a 50 cl bottle size. It delivers unique herbal aromas, fine walnut spice, and a dry, sophisticated finish.
Tasting Notes
• Aroma: Typical herbal bitter notes with hints of liquorice, fresh green elements, and deep walnut spice.
• Palate: Fine spice from unripe green walnuts accompanied by a subtle sweetness, subtle juniper, and hints of clove.
• Finish: Drier with lingering warm spices and light, complex tannins.
Estate History and Distilling Methods
• Origins: Founded in 2006 by master distiller and qualified winemaker Florian Faude in Bötzingen am Kaiserstuhl, Germany.
• Harvesting: Wild, soft green walnuts are harvested strictly around St. John's Eve on 23 June.
• Processing: Nuts are sorted, washed, and macerated with a custom blend of herbs and spices before being pressed and aged for a whole year in old wood barrels originating from French Sauternes.
